Coronavirus Signs and Symptoms

corona

Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease can be asymptomatic (no signs and symptoms) or symptomatic (showing signs of disease).

It is also important to note that having these symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean that a person is infected by a coronavirus. Don’t panic and consult the nearest available medical professional.

On average it takes about 5–6 days for symptoms to show after the person is infected with the virus. However, it can take up to 14 days for the symptoms to show.

What’s Next?

People who show mild symptoms and are healthy can easily manage their symptoms at home. Self quarantine is the best possible way to stop the spread of this disease.

However, if someone develops severe symptoms, seeking medical assistance becomes important. Don’t try to rush to the hospital, rather call the nearest Covid center or call the government helpline numbers to seek assistance.

As of now, it is important to maintain social distancing and practice quarantine activity even if someone is not showing any symptoms of the disease as there are many cases that are asymptomatic (person shows no symptoms but still is infected by coronavirus).
